Richard Landon Design A SEATTLE "PAINTED LADY"!

The owner of this small Seattle bungalow wanted to preserve the original cabinets, built in the 1940s. Her problem? She wanted a dishwasher and the counters were neither high enough or deep enough. Over and over again, she was told the only solution was to tear out the old!
Landon saw that adding a second sink would both create a second work center and allow the installation of a Fisher-Paykel DishDrawer. Then, noticing the owner's artistic talent, displayed in the living room, he proposed adding a false furniture piece on the east wall of the kitchen. This unit had to be built in the room because it extends three-feet back over the stairs to the basement, in the unused void above them! Only the upper doors are functional!
Contractor: Homeowner. Cabinets: Aristocratic Cabinets, Chehalis, WA.
