CAN A 1985 KITCHEN STILL LOOK GOOD?

There's a certain musicality to space, involving shapes and design elements, instead of notes.  This space is like that for me.  Details abound.  Note the 10" long, stainless steel D-pulls and the chair rail molding--used in the toe kick!  The narrow 1-1/4"-wide white oak floor has a very different character than the common 2-1/4"-wide red oak strips.  Other than the cooktop, there is very little in this picture that would date it.  No wonder it won a MAME Best Kitchen Design award!
