Designing for How You Imagine Your Home Will Feel

AFTER

~ There's a certain musicality to space, involving shapes and design elements, instead of notes. Composing them harmoniously can make a space virtually timeless.
~ This space is like that. Change the cooktop and an induction one and you'd leap ahead to the 21st century.
~ Details abound.  Note the 10" long, stainless steel D-pulls and the chair rail molding--used in the toe kick!
~ The narrow 1-1/4"-wide white oak floor has a very different character than the common 2-1/4"-wide red oak strips.
~ Other than the cooktop, there is very little in this picture that would date it.
~ No wonder it won a MAME Best Kitchen Design award!
